i will be writing a column about music in an.schläge magazin for a bit. starting with the current issue, where i wrote some words about how easy it is these days to record music and how i stumbled upon Connie Converse’s songs, material that was written long before i was born. the column is in german, i will also provide an illustration for each issue. this time i just took a part of the poster design i made for the Connie Converse documentary.
i made this.
i made an end-of-the-year playlist of music that i listened to a lot during this year, which was a lot of things. love and death, vienna and barcelona, new york, los angeles and connecticut, venice beach and venice, writing, recording, and releasing new music, filming and photographing and drawing all night, editing film and writing poetry, being poor and fortunate and angry, so angry, and sad, so sad, and in love, so in love, and everything in between. i know this year ain’t over, and i could make this later, but if everything goes according to plan, i will be by the pacific ocean when this year ends, with no internet.
let’s make the next year good. thank you for listening.
DESERT (EP) is officially out today!

DESERT EP on bandcamp
my new EP is officially out today. and you have the power to support my work. yes, you.
long time no see. i was making this in my absence. third track from the new EP. this is so special to me.
this is Desert Pacific Octopi, track number three off the new EP. the official release date of the EP is november 25. however, if you keep your eyes open, you might already find it somewhere online.
the lyrics to this song can be found in the “lyrics” section of this tumblr.
in the new weeks, i will also inform you about how you can purchase a “desert” special limited edition pack, which will include a poster, postcards, a personal message to you and the download code and which will be shipped anywhere the wind blows.
if you find references to a certain podcast about the community radio of a small desert town in this song, i swear it is purely…intentional. i was listening to quite a few episodes while making this record.
oh look, it’s a trailer for the upcoming EP.
i made a trailer for my next release on seayou.
EP production sneakapeek.
haven’t been posting much lately because this is what i am doing most of the time. new EP coming out in a bit on Seayou Records!
dark-whimsy asked: I really love your song Big Houses that played on Welcome to Night Vale, is there somewhere I could download it from?
hi there and thank you so much! it should all be up on itunes, but also on bandcamp (always the better option because musicians get at least a tiny bit more of the money than on itunes). here’s the whole album, the tracks can also be downloaded separately:
have a great week and thank you for listening <3
the new video to a song that is just a week older than the video, it’s also on youtube.
